Abbas Goes Mental: ‘Jews Liked Life Under Nazis’

Frustrated and powerless in the face of Trump’s Jerusalem embassy move, Mahmoud Abbas reacted the only way Palestinian Arab leaders know how – by going bats**t crazy.

The Palestinian Authority President, proving once again that Arabs are allergic to history, declared in a 2 ½-hour tirade Sunday night that Jews preferred life in Nazified Europe over escaping to British-controlled Palestine. “The Jews did not want to emigrate even with murder and slaughter. Even during the Holocaust, they did not emigrate,” Abbas said.

Abbas’ point was that Israel was a colonial project of the British “that has nothing to do with Judaism” and so most Jews didn’t want to go there. But to suggest that Jews would choose the ovens over life in the Promised Land indicates a sickness of mind worthy of a straitjacket and a padded cell.

Of course, the Jews did everything they could to get to Palestine and escape the Nazi juggernaut. They were stopped at every turn by the British – proving the Jewish state was not a British colonial project – because if it had been the British would have been doing everything they could to fill it with Jews. In fact the first victims of British bullets in World War II were Jewish immigrants to Palestine aboard the SS Tiger Hill. Nothing better illustrates the fact that the British were in full appeasement mode and were doing everything they could to make the Arabs happy and if that meant 6 million Jews were turned to ash, so be it.

Prior to the war’s start in the 1930s, Jews packed into so-called “bucket ships” to make the hazardous journey to Eretz Israel and freedom. During the war, the most infamous case of Jewish immigrants attempting to escape to Palestine was the MV Struma, a converted cattle boat loaded with roughly 800 Jews from Romania. It managed to reach Istanbul. The British showed zero compassion and refused to admit the passengers to Palestine. So it was tugged out to the Black Sea where it sunk. Only one passenger survived.

After the war, the British continued their heartless policy, mobilizing a huge fleet of warships to keep Jewish Holocaust survivors out of the Promised Land. The Jews organized illegal immigration in response, of which the most well-known ship was the SS Exodus. A movie was made about it starring Paul Newman and Eva Marie Saint. Trump should present Abbas with a DVD copy the next time they meet.

The trouble is that Mahmoud Abbas isn’t an unhinged crackpot gone off the deep end. He’s deeply hinged to everything the Palestinian Arab population believes. They are marinated in Jew hatred thanks to their media and most are only two drinks away from admitting that they wished Hitler ‘had finished the job.’

So what do you do with people like this? Make peace? Only if you want a situation where Jews are back on bucket ships and returning to Europe.
