On August 4, 1940, Vladimir “Ze’ev” Jabotinsky died at a Betar camp in Hunter, New York of a massive heart attack.
I recently reviewed Racing Against History: The 1940 Campaign for a Jewish Army to Fight Hitler by Rick Richman (Encounter Books, 2017), which covers the efforts of three Zionist leaders to raise a Jewish army in America to fight Hitler.
