Chaim Weizmann savors his great accomplishment, the Balfour Declaration, which is issued on November 2nd, 1917.
But he will soon encounter difficulties, starting with the British military administration in Palestine, which is hostile to Jews and Zionism.
British behavior leads many Zionists to question Weizmann’s leadership.
He must defend his position as he strives to bring about the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine, which will give the Balfour Declaration the force of international law.
