On May 14, 1948, the day of Israel’s independence, the armies of Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Transjordan and Egypt pour into the Jewish State.
With soldiers and weapons in short supply, Israel faces a dire situation. Egypt hammers Kibbutz Yad Mordechai on its way to Tel Aviv. The Jordanian Arab Legion captures areas on the edge of Jerusalem. And the Syrians sweep into the upper Jordan valley.
