
Dr. Gil Ribak
Gil Ribak is currently Assistant Professor at the Center for Judaic Studies, University of Arizona. Prior to that he was Visiting Assistant Professor of Jewish Studies and History at Oberlin College. He has served as Director of the Institute on American Jewish-Israeli Relations at the American Jewish University in Los Angeles. His work has appeared in numerous books, including Absorbing Encounters: Constructing American Jewry in the Post-Holocaust Decades, American Jewry: Transcending the European Experience? and Anti-Zionism, Antisemitism, and the Dynamics of Delegitimization, as well as publications such as Modern Judaism, Polin: A Journal of Polish-Jewish Studies, AJS Review, and the Journal of American Ethnic History, among others.
Prof. Ribak has appeared on numerous panels and lectured extensively on American Jewry and American-Israeli relations. He appeared in the 2008 PBS documentary “St. Louis Stories: The Jewish Americans.”
